Fiasconaro uses the finest Sicilian ingredients, from fresh eggs to local honey and almonds. A lengthy 36-hour leavening method gives their sourdough a light, airy texture.

This classic colomba is enriched with fragrant citrus. Tear into the dough to release the aroma of fresh mandarins. The cake is topped with icing and decorated with pistachios. Sugar nibs add sweetness and crunch to every bite.

Colomba di Pasqua (‘Easter dove’) is a traditional Italian Easter cake. It has become a symbol of peace, friendship and togetherness. The cakes are given as gifts and shared at home with loved ones.

Each colomba comes in a tin adorned with Dolce & Gabbana’s vibrant designs. The designs are inspired by majolica, a kind of colourful glazed pottery from Sicily. The colomba are available in two colours:

  • Pink
  • Blue

Domenico Dolce is originally from Polizzi Generosa in Palermo, Sicily. The designer jumped at the chance to celebrate his home country with bespoke designs for Fiasconaro.

Fiasconaro was founded in Castelbuono, Sicily in 1953 by Mario Fiasconaro. Mario started out as an ice-cream maker and pastry chef, and his first great masterpieces were mountains of profiteroles. His three sons, Fausto, Nicola and Martino, began learning the art of pastry when they were children. Today, the three brothers still lead the company. Nicola is the production manager and an award-winning pastry chef. You’ll taste his expertise in every bite of Fiasconaro’s luxurious panettones and torrone.  

Ingredients: Soft wheat flour, butter, sugar, almonds, icing 11% (sugar, fresh egg white, rice flour, almond flour, starch modified, pistachio paste, flavourings), fresh eggs 11%, fresh egg yolk 5,6%, natural yeast (soft wheat flour), mandarin paste 3% (mandarin 52%, sugar, glucose syrup, lemon juice), granulated sugar 3%, Sicilian honey, invert sugar syrup, chopped pistachios 2%, emulsifier: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, salt, vanilla, mandarin essential oil. May contain soy, nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts), lupin, mustard.
