Use Terre Exotique’s crazy salt to add heat and colour to marinades, rubs and roast chicken.

It has a surprisingly delicate flavour and vibrant red colour that will delight your dinner guests. Also known as ‘devil’s salt’, crazy salt is a speciality from Guerande and Île de Ré off the west coast of France. 

Herbs and spices are added to the coarse sea salt to give it a smoky, spicy taste. Expect the herbal aroma of rosemary and the subtle heat of paprika and cayenne pepper.

You can use crazy salt while you’re cooking or serve it in pinch pots on your dinner table.

It’s great on barbecued meat and fish or sprinkled over salads and baked potatoes. Combine a teaspoon of crazy salt with unsalted butter to create a spicy spread for sandwiches.

It also makes a great rimming salt for Bloody Marys and margaritas!
