Goldie by Sourhouse

Description

Designed by keen home bakers, Goldie by Sourhouse provides a gentle heat to keep your sourdough starter active and healthy. Average room temperatures can make your starter sluggish, but Goldie will keep it in the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ of 24-28ºC.

With a steady warm temperature, your starter will rise faster and more consistently so you can easily plan your baking schedule.

Using Goldie couldn’t be easier. Simply place your sourdough starter jar on the warming base under the cloche.

The cloche is made from transparent borosilicate glass so it’s strong and durable and lets you easily keep an eye on your starter. There is a simple thermometer, indicated with coloured lights, to help you manage your temperatures and anticipate when your starter will be ready to use.

Goldie by Sourhouse uses very little energy and won’t warm up the rest of the room.

The sleek, modern design will look fantastic on your counter, letting your sourdough starter take centre stage. It’s large enough to house a quart jar but space efficient for tidy worktop storage - Goldie will sit happily beside your coffee machine so you can check on your starter whenever you pass by.

Goldie will shave an hour or more off the typical doubling time of a starter that’s kept in the fridge or on the counter. With your starter always in your eyeline, you can easily keep track of its progress. Whether you’re a baking pro or just getting started, this innovative home baking tool will help you achieve better, more consistent results.

Starter jars are sold separately, in pint size and quart size.

This sourdough starter warmer works with any jar that fits inside. A cooling puck is included for hot days when your starter gets too warm. Keep the puck in the freezer and place it on top of your jar when you need to cool it down.

Works with any local USB-to-wall adapter (adaptor not included).

The glass cloche and cooling puck are dishwasher safe. Clean the warming base with a damp cloth or sponge.
