Description
Gungo peas are a legume popular in the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America. They’re a great way to add plant-based protein to vegetarian soups, curries and rice dishes. In Jamaica, gungo peas are often used in rice dishes and hearty soups with meat and yams.
These Gungo Peas come in two sizes:
- 400g
- 2kg
Add gungo peas to rice cooked in coconut milk and spices for a fragrant rice and pea dish to serve with jerk chicken or Caribbean-inspired curries.
Soak the peas for up to 10 hours to reduce their cooking time.
