Sabarot French Green Lentils, 500g


Sabarot’s French green lentils have a mellow, peppery flavour and firm texture, even after cooking. They are a fantastic alternative to meat when making a plant-based bolognese or shepherd’s pie. You can also add them to hearty soups, salads and even curries. The small green lentils act as a sponge for whatever flavours you surround them with.

Try braising these French lentils with finely diced vegetables, pancetta and red wine. Add woody herbs like thyme and rosemary for extra flavour and you’ve got a flavour-packed side dish for roast chicken, sausages and seared scallops.

To cook the lentils, immerse them in a large amount of cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for approximately 25 minutes.
