Cortas Foul Medammes - Cooked Fava Beans

Description

Ful medammas or ful medames is a popular dish of cooked fava beans which is eaten for breakfast across the Middle East. They were first eaten in Egypt 5,000 years ago, but quickly spread throughout Middle Eastern cuisines. Also try incorporating cooked beans into salads, side dishes and mix with herbs and spices for stuffing vegetables.

To serve, warm gently, add lemon juice, salt, garlic and oil to taste. These fava beans are from Lebanon.

Ingredients: Fava beans (65%), water, salt, citric acid, sequestrant: calcium disodium EDTA.
Store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate after opening.
