Sabarot PDO Puy Lentils in Metal Tin, 500g


Sabarot PDO Puy lentils are a delicious addition to soups and salads. They have a rich, peppery flavour and firm texture.

Braise these French lentils with diced vegetables, herbs and red wine. Serve with grilled sea bass or roast chicken. They’re also delicious with roasted vegetables and a mustard vinaigrette.

You can add Puy lentils to casseroles, curries and plant-based ragus. They are a great alternative to beef in a cottage pie or bolognese sauce.

To cook the lentils, immerse them in three times their volume of cold water. Then, boil for approximately 20 minutes. They will soak up the flavour of whatever you cook them with. They love garlic and woody herbs like rosemary and thyme.

These green lentils are grown in the volcanic soil of the Le Puy region of southern France. Their PDO status (protected designation of origin) is a stamp of quality for ingredients from designated areas.
