Description

Trenette is a long, narrow dried pasta from Genoa, a historic port city in northern Italy. Slightly wider than linguine, it’s often served with pesto, cooked potatoes and green beans. The vibrant green sauce, fragrant with fresh basil, clings to the slender strands for a comforting, colourful supper.

Not a pesto fan? Toss cooked trenette with white crab meat, garlic, chilli and a squeeze of lemon. It’s equally delicious with a ‘fisherman’s ragu’ made with whatever fish you have to hand. Simmer the fish with cherry tomatoes and white wine for an indulgent seafood supper.
