Morelli 6 Flavours Stelle Alpine Multicolour Pasta, 250g

Description

Morelli 6 flavours stelle alpine pasta is produced in Tuscany. Stelle alpine is the Italian name for edelweiss. The small white flowers are the inspiration for this pasta shape.

To create the vibrant colours, Morelli adds vegetable powders to the dough. Beetroot, spinach and carrot create shades of red, green and purple. This pasta is as pretty as a bouquet!

Stelle alpine pasta traps sauces in its grooves. Pair it with San Marzano tomato sauce or something rich and creamy.

In Switzerland, the flower-shaped pasta is used in Älplermagronen (Alpine macaroni). The pasta is paired with potatoes, bacon and a cheesy sauce. It’s topped with caramelised onions and served with apple sauce.

Morelli uses an artisan method of reincorporating wheat germ into semolina. It gives their pasta a unique flavour and aroma, similar to toasted wheat.

Morelli pasta is bronze-drawn and dried slowly at low temperatures. This is the secret to the rough surface that helps sauces to cling.

Cooking time: 8 minutes.

Store in a cool and dry place, away from cereals.
