Description

The Greek Farmer Air Dried Ham is a ready-to-eat British charcuterie made from free-range Blythburgh pork leg, cured with salt, red wine and black pepper. It is inspired by Greek Cypriot hiromeri, where pork is cured and air-dried after time with wine and spice. Here, the wine brings a rounded, fruity aroma, while the black pepper gives the edge you want from a good plate of cured meat.

  • Made with British free-range pork leg
  • Cured with red wine and pepper
  • Inspired by Greek Cypriot hiromeri
  • Thinly sliced and ready to eat
  • Oak smoked for savoury depth

Open the pack and give the slices a few minutes out of the fridge before serving. The texture softens, the pepper comes forward, and the wine-cured pork tastes fuller.

Lay it on a charcuterie board with olives, hard cheese and warm bread. It is also very good folded into a sandwich with mustardy leaves, or served with pickles and a glass of red wine before dinner.

Meet the maker: The Greek Farmer

The Greek Farmer makes British charcuterie with a Greek twist, using British free-range pork and curing it on their farm in Hertfordshire. Think salami and air-dried meats with that sunny, savoury lift you get from Mediterranean herbs and spices. It is the kind of food that turns a simple board of cheese, bread and olives into something people gather around.

Small, family-run and proudly farm-based, they bring together proper British pork with flavours inspired by Greek recipes. Their award-winning range feels made for sharing: picnics, picky dinners, drinks with friends, or the moment when you “just slice a little” and somehow go back for more.
