Taiyo Matcha Bowl & Whisk Set

Taiyo means ‘sun’ in Japanese. The bowl is glazed in shades of earthy brown and sunset orange. Sip your tea slowly to savour its bright, grassy flavour.

Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder. It has been enjoyed as part of the Japanese tea ceremony for hundreds of years. Rich in antioxidants, it is said to boost brain health and relieve stress.

For one serving of tea, use the chashaku to measure two scoops of matcha powder into the bowl. Add a splash of hot water and use the whisk to make a paste. Top up with approximately 70ml of hot, not boiling, water. Use the matcha whisk in a vigorous ‘W’ motion until the matcha becomes very frothy. Enjoy immediately.
