Matcha Set

A matcha set is a traditional piece of Japanese kit that includes essential tools for preparing and enjoying matcha, a finely ground powdered green tea.

It typically consists of a bamboo whisk (chasen), a bamboo scoop (chashaku), a ceramic or bamboo tea bowl (chawan), and a bamboo tea scoop holder (kusenaoshi).

The chasen is used to whisk the matcha into a smooth, frothy consistency, ensuring it blends perfectly with water. The chashaku helps measure the right amount of matcha needed for a single serving. The chawan serves as the vessel in which the matcha is prepared and drunk, and it often holds cultural or aesthetic significance.
