Ortiz Bonito Fillets in Olive Oil, 2 x 63g
Description
Ortiz bonito fillets in olive oil are ready to eat so you can create healthy, delicious meals in minutes. The fillets are cut from the juiciest part of the bonito fish, so they have a rich flavour and an exquisite, silky texture. It’s far superior to the standard tinned tuna you find in supermarkets.
Bonito fillets are a great addition to lunchtime salads or flaked onto hot, buttered toast. Tuna works well with pasta - try tossing it with spaghetti, cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli flakes. To make a classic Basque pintxo, stuff piquillo peppers with bonito, finely diced raw white onion and a good squeeze of lemon juice.
Spanish seafood experts Ortiz might just make the best canned tuna available to buy in the UK. They also only fish at the point in the season when the tuna weigh 30kg or less, to give the most tender fillets. All the fish that Ortiz buys is caught on rod and line in the Bay of Biscay and then processed by hand. The fish is also ethically sourced, creating as little marine waste as possible.
