White asparagus has a soft texture and mild flavour that’s slightly nuttier and earthier than the green asparagus we’re used to in the UK. It’s grown in the fertile River Ebro valley in Navarre, where it’s hand-picked and trimmed before being gently cooked. This variety has IGP status, which is given only to members of the Asparagus officinalis species that are grown in the Spanish regions of Navarre, La Rioja and Aragon.
Each jar includes 6-8 large spears of Navarra white asparagus.
