Description

Miel Besacier Napoleon Chestnut Honey is a dark, characterful French-packed honey for people who like their honey to taste of more than sweetness. It has the deeper feel you expect from chestnut honey: amber in the jar, rounded on the spoon, with woody, malty notes that sit beautifully on toast, yogurt, or a slice of salty cheese.

  • European forest honey, selected in France
  • Cold extracted to protect natural character
  • 100% natural honey, with no additives
  • Packed by Miel Besacier, founded 1905

This is the jar we reach for when a pale floral honey feels too gentle. Stir it into tea, drizzle it over thick Greek yogurt, or put it on the table with buttered toast and let everyone help themselves. It also works well in baking, especially where you want the honey flavour to come through.

Miel Besacier has worked with honey and beekeepers for generations, selecting honey for taste before packing it in France. A useful everyday jar, but with enough depth to make breakfast feel a little more considered.

Please note: honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months.

Meet the maker: Miel Besacier

Miel Besacier is a French honey house, and pralines producer.

Founded in 1905, this family-run company has spent more than a century working with honey, bees, and beekeepers. Today it is led by David Besacier, who is also President of the French Honey Association. So this is not a brand that simply buys honey and puts a label on it. Honey is their world.

What we love about Miel Besacier is how close they stay to the source. They select honey directly from beekeepers, build long-term partnerships, and put a strong focus on traceability. In a market where honey fraud is a real issue, that matters.

Miel Besacier has also spent more than 30 years focused on organic production and better beekeeping practices. Not every jar is automatically certified organic, so check the product title and label if that is important to you. But the wider commitment says a lot about how they think: protect the bees, respect the beekeeper, and keep honey honest.

Product formulations and details may change. For the latest ingredients and allergen information always check product packaging prior to consumption. Ingredients: European chestnut honey.
