The cherries contain 50% less calories than Toschi’s original recipe. If you’re looking to cut back on sugar, they’re a great option for baked goods and desserts. Try adding them to tarts, crêpes or a Black Forest gateau.
Amarena cherries have a firm yet tender texture. They grow wild in the Italian cities of Bologna and Modena. The small, dark cherries are renowned for their sweet-sharp taste.
Garnish an Old Fashioned or Manhattan with these delicious sour cherries. You can also add them to a cheese or charcuterie board. Their tangy flavour is a great match for soft cheeses and rich meats. Pair them with creamy Robiola or duck rillettes.
