Sobacha - Crushed Roasted Buckwheat Seeds, 170g


Sobacha is a Japanese tea made with buckwheat seeds. These crushed buckwheat seeds infuse more quickly than whole seeds. Stir two teaspoons of buckwheat into a cup of boiling water for traditional hot sobacha. Or leave the tea to cool and enjoy chilled. 

The roasted buckwheat has a gentle malty flavour. Use it to flavour other hot drinks such as lattes or whipped dalgona coffee.

Crushed buckwheat seeds also work well in baking recipes. They add texture and flavour to pastry, sponge cakes and pancakes. Try infusing cream for creme brulee or buckwheat custard tart.
