Pariani Chopped Sicilian Pistachio, 100g

Pariani chopped Sicilian pistachios are a vibrant finishing touch for cakes and desserts. Sprinkle over the ricotta cream at either end of a cannoli for some classic Sicilian treats. Or scatter over cheesecakes, chocolate mousse, and iced cakes for a burst of colour and crunch.

Sicilian pistachios are loved all over the world for their vibrant green colour and intense pistachio flavour. They have slight bitter notes that come from being grown in volcanic soil, giving them a flavour that goes with sweet and savoury dishes alike.

Try topping a side dish of Moroccan rice with Sicilian chopped pistachios. Gently cook dry basmati rice in a wide, shallow pan with softened onions, butter and spices. When the rice grains are all coated in butter and glistening, cover with stock and cook the rice as normal until all the stock is absorbed. Stir through a handful of sultanas if you like, and top with the pistachios. It makes a lovely side dish for a tagine.
