Stand the egg poachers in a pan of simmering water, with the perforated section on the bottom. Handy measuring lines on the poachers will show you how much water to use. Bring the water to a simmer.

Then, crack an egg into the top of each poacher – use the freshest eggs you can, as old eggs won’t give the same great results. Simmer the eggs to your preference. When ready, use tongs to grip the handy tab on the edge of each poacher to lift them safely out of the water. Then use a slotted spoon to retrieve your perfectly poached eggs from the pan.

The upper part of the poacher cradles the eggs and funnels them gently into the water – this helps to prevent the yolks breaking. The perforations in the bottom half allow the water to flow around the eggs for even cooking. When not in use, the egg poachers fold up for easy storage.
