Description

Olio Anfosso Taggiasca DOP Riviera Ligure – Riviera dei Fiori Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a delicate Ligurian olive oil made from Taggiasca olives grown in the province of Imperia. This is the kind of oil we'd keep for finishing, not hiding. Pour it over warm vegetables, grilled fish, tomato salad, or a bowl of beans just before eating.

  • Made with prized Taggiasca olives
  • DOP Riviera Ligure certified origin
  • From Liguria’s Riviera dei Fiori
  • Soft fruit, almond, artichoke notes
  • Gentle bitterness and light pepper

The flavour is more sweet and elegant than sharp. Think golden oil, green tomato, almond skin, field herbs, and a clean finish that does not bully the food. It is lovely with pesto, focaccia, seafood, salads, and steamed potatoes still warm enough to drink in the oil.

Produced by the Anfosso family, who have made olive oil in western Liguria since 1945.

Meet the maker: Olio Anfosso

Olio Anfosso comes from Chiusavecchia, a small olive-growing village tucked inland from the Ligurian coast. The Anfosso family has been making extra virgin olive oil here since 1945, when Davide Anfosso began tending a small grove after the war. Three generations later, their oils still carry the gentle, coastal character of western Liguria: soft, fruity, and made for food rather than fuss.

This is the kind of producer that makes you want to slow down and cook simply. Think warm potatoes, grilled fish, bitter leaves, focaccia, or a bowl of beans finished with a bright green pour. Olio Anfosso is rooted in family, stone terraces, and the old olive culture of the Ponente — and that care shows in every bottle.
