Morelli Tortiglioni Pasta with Wheat Germ, 500g

Description

Morelli Tortiglioni is a ridged, tube-shaped pasta from Naples. The grooves, produced by a special lathe, follow a spiral pattern. 

This versatile pasta shape is delicious with arrabiata sauce. For something more indulgent, try a cream sauce with peas, pancetta and Parmesan. The sturdy tubes are also ideal for pasta bakes with meatballs and mozzarella.

Morelli uses an artisan method of reincorporating wheat germ into semolina. It gives their pasta a unique flavour and aroma, similar to toasted wheat.

The pasta is bronze-drawn and dried slowly at low temperatures. This is the secret to the rough surface that helps sauces to cling.

Cooking time: 9 minutes.

Store in a cool and dry place, away from cereals.
