These oils were created in collaboration with chef Francesco Apreda. Francesco is the executive chef at the Michelin-starred Idylio by Apreda in Rome. His menu blends Italian cuisine with Asian-inspired flavours.

Inside the box, you will discover:

• Red Pikkante (100ml) - ‘Vibrant and intense’, this is chilli oil but not as you know it. The oil is infused with chilli, coriander seeds, mace, paprika and pepper. It has a warm, persistent heat with floral, citrusy notes.

Chef Apreda suggests adding a drizzle of Red Pikkante to carpaccio and grilled fish. It’s a fantastic base for sauces and salad dressings. Use it to fry garlic for spaghetti arrabiata or chicken cacciatore.

• Gold India (100ml) - ‘A golden blend’. The oil is infused with turmeric, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon and galangal. It’s a complex fusion of flavours and aromas.

Chef Apreda recommends this blend for rice dishes and steamed fish. It’s delicious with grilled prawns and yoghurt-based sauces. Swirl it over a whole chicken before roasting. It will fill the kitchen with the aroma of Asian spices.

The quality of Frantoio Muraglia extra virgin olive oil shines through. Made from cold-pressed Coratina olives, the oil has a bold flavour and creamy mouthfeel. It’s the perfect base for these aromatic oils.
