Fabbrica della Pasta IGP Squid Ink Spaghetti, 500g

Description

La Fabbrica della Pasta’s squid ink spaghetti is perfect for seafood suppers. Make a light sauce with white wine, garlic and cherry tomatoes. Then, add your favourite seafood. Crab, scallops and prawns are all good options.

Powdered squid ink is added to the pasta dough. This gives it a dark, dramatic colour and briny tang. Serve it in white pasta bowls to show off its charcoal hue.

If you don’t have fresh seafood, serve squid ink spaghetti with a light tomato sauce. It’s also ideal for spaghetti aglio e olio. Toss the cooked pasta with garlic, olive oil and a pinch of chilli flakes. It’s a classic for a reason!

La Fabbrica della Pasta uses traditional recipes passed down through generations. Their pasta is slow-dried at low temperatures and extruded through bronze dies, resulting in a denser, stronger pasta. This gives the pasta a rough surface that holds sauces well.

Cooking time: 8 minutes.

In 2012, La Fabbrica della Pasta became the first pasta factory to receive IGP status. IGP stands for Indicazione Geografica Protetta (Protected Geographical Indication). It is assigned to products with a quality or reputation dependent on their geographical origin.

Store in a cool, dry place.
