Wheat Noodles

Wheat noodles are one of humankind’s best solutions for how to make milled grain palatable. A staple in many cuisines worldwide, they provide versatility, a satisfying texture, and are filling.

Made from wheat flour, water, and sometimes eggs, these noodles come in a multitude of shapes and sizes, from slender vermicelli to hearty udon.

In the UK, we tend to think of noodles as being used in Asian cuisine, as opposed to pasta in the Mediterranean, but really they fulfil the same function.

Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines feature varieties like chow mein, ramen, and soba, respectively. Whole wheat noodles in particular provide fibre and have a low glycaemic index.
