Meet the maker: Cioccolato Gourmet

Cioccolato Gourmet comes from brothers Tancredi and Alberto Alemagna, whose family name is woven into Milan’s confectionery history, particularly its panettone tradition. The brothers founded T’a Milano, naming it after their initials and their home city. With Cioccolato Gourmet, they’ve given that family connection to Italian confectionery a playful expression in handcrafted chocolate.

Their maître chocolatiers research unusual combinations, looking for flavours that contrast and surprise. That curiosity takes them beyond Italian traditions: Ciocosushi draws on East Asian flavours and presentation, right down to chocolate chopsticks tucked alongside filled pralines. There’s thought behind the shapes, too. Their chocolate bars are designed to break into pieces of different sizes, making sharing part of the design rather than an afterthought.
