Marigold Engevita nutritional yeast flakes are a vegan food with a cheesy, nutty taste, made from primary inactive yeast. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast flakes over pasta, soups, stews and salads to bring a vegan parmesan cheese taste, or dissolve in milk and water.
Marigold nutritional yeast flakes have added B12, so are rich in B vitamins, folic acid, zinc and vitamin B12. The yeast is a natural food grown on molasses under carefully controlled conditions. Engevita is a primary inactive yeast of the genus saccharomyces cerevisiae, entirely free from candida albicans yeast. To preserve the nutritional yeast's valuable added B12 vitamins, it is advisable not to heat to 100°C.
