Description

Lottie Day’s Set of 6 Seaweed Design Napkins features a different original, line-drawn seaweed illustration on each napkin. Screen-printed by hand in her Norwich studio, the designs celebrate the forms and natural colours of British coastal seaweed. The contrasting colours give you a mixed set rather than six identical place settings.

Made from 100% natural cotton, these reusable napkins are an alternative to disposable paper serviettes. Lay them out for a seafood lunch or a relaxed supper with friends. The coastal designs also make the set a thoughtful housewarming gift for someone who loves the seaside.

  • Six napkins, each with a different seaweed illustration
  • Screen-printed by hand in Lottie Day’s Norwich studio
  • Reusable napkins made from 100% natural cotton
  • Can be machine washed at 30°C

Meet the maker: Lottie Day

The ‘wonky’ vegetables grown on her father’s allotment are a rich source of inspiration for Lottie Day. The illustrator and textile designer grew up in Hindolveston, a small village in North Norfolk, and her designs draw on the countryside and wildlife around her, as well as those characterful vegetables. Parsnips, swedes and turnips take their place alongside fish and other seafood in her illustrations.

Lottie turns her drawings into screen-printed cotton homewares, building a small cottage industry making tea towels, napkins and table linens. Her pieces are handmade in the UK, with her fish napkins printed by hand in Norwich. Rooted in Norfolk, her work now reaches shops and galleries across the UK, Europe and the United States.
