Description

Lottie Day Harvest Vegetable Cotton Tea Towel pairs hand-drawn vegetable artwork with 100% natural cotton, screen-printed by hand in the UK. The vegetable designs were inspired by the ‘wonky’ produce grown on the designer’s father’s allotment. Use it for drying up or hang it on a kitchen hook to enjoy the illustrations between jobs. It makes a thoughtful gift for a keen vegetable gardener, too.

Meet the maker: Lottie Day

The ‘wonky’ vegetables grown on her father’s allotment are a rich source of inspiration for Lottie Day. The illustrator and textile designer grew up in Hindolveston, a small village in North Norfolk, and her designs draw on the countryside and wildlife around her, as well as those characterful vegetables. Parsnips, swedes and turnips take their place alongside fish and other seafood in her illustrations.

Lottie turns her drawings into screen-printed cotton homewares, building a small cottage industry making tea towels, napkins and table linens. Her pieces are handmade in the UK, with her fish napkins printed by hand in Norwich. Rooted in Norfolk, her work now reaches shops and galleries across the UK, Europe and the United States.
