Génépi is made from the flowers of the génépi plant. They are harvested in the summer and then macerated in alcohol. This slow, natural process preserves their unique flavour.

Green-gold in colour, génépi is herbaceous and bittersweet. You can detect notes of mint, liquorice and chamomile. Serve it on the rock or with tonic for a longer drink. It can also be used in cocktails, giving Negronis and margaritas an Alpine twist.

Serve a shot of génépi over lemon sorbet as a palate cleanser. In France, the liqueur is used to flavour desserts and fish baked in foil.
