Description

Apicoltura Cazzola Eucalyptus Honey is a 250g jar of Italian eucalyptus honey from a beekeeping farm in Altedo-Malalbergo, near Bologna. Eucalyptus honey has a deeper, more herbal character than many pale honeys, so it is a good one for people who like honey with a bit more presence. I’d use it where you can actually taste it, not hide it.

  • Eucalyptus honey from Bologna province
  • Herbal, aromatic flavour with depth
  • Made by an Italian beekeeping farm
  • Vegetarian, dairy free, low gluten ingredients
  • 250g jar for everyday kitchen use

Try it stirred into warm tea, spooned over thick yoghurt, or drizzled onto toast with salted butter. It is also lovely with hard cheeses, especially when you want a sweet note that does not disappear straight away.

Apicoltura Cazzola works with hives across different flowering areas to produce honeys from specific botanical origins.

Meet the maker: Apicoltura Cazzola

Apicoltura Cazzola is a nomadic beekeeping producer in the Bologna area of Emilia-Romagna. The beekeepers move their 300+ hives with the seasons and the flowering. It is a very direct way of following the landscape. When the flowers change, the honey changes too. Meanwhile, the honey is left as natural as possible - it isn't heat treated for example. Apicoltura's mantra is simple, and rather lovely: “Why change what nature has already made perfectly.”

The range is wide; explore the different flavours of acacia, citrus, chestnut, cherry, dandelion or linden honey for example.

We love this range, because there is real pleasure in having a few different honeys open at home. One for toast. One for cheese. One for yoghurt. One that ends up being tasted from the spoon, or stirred into a hot drink.
