How is balsamic glaze made?

The production process for balsamic glaze begins with grape must, which is simmered to reduce it and thicken the texture.
It is aged in wooden barrels, to impart a complex, rich flavour with undertones of sweetness and a balanced acidity.
It can also be enhanced with other flavours, such as fig or truffle.

Balsamic glaze can be drizzled over a variety of dishes, including salads, roasted vegetables, grilled meats, cheese platters, or even fresh fruit.

It adds a burst of flavour and a glossy finish to both savoury and sweet creations. Its sweet and tangy notes make it an excellent accompaniment for dishes like Caprese salads, where it pairs wonderfully with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.

It's equally fantastic for enhancing the flavours of grilled meats or seafood, or can be used on fresh strawberries or as a zingy topping for vanilla gelato.
