Vergani’s mostarda di frutta is a richly sweet preserve of pears, peaches, clementines, kiwi, papaya and cherries – with a spicy mustard heat. Originating in Northern Italy, this sweet-hot relish is traditionally served with boiled meats and charcuterie. Its balance of sweetness and spice are also fantastic on a cheeseboard.
Serve this mostarda with crackers and a creamy brie or camberzola, or use it as a sweet preserve on vanilla ice cream and thick greek yoghurt.
