Description
White rabbit candies are famously delicious Chinese chewy sweets, like a cross between nougat and childrens' milk bottle penny-sweets. The White Rabbit sweets were originally marketed as a health food with the slogan "Seven White Rabbit candies is equivalent to one cup of milk", although that should be taken with a pinch of salt.
White rabbit sweets are particularly popular around Chinese New Year when they are given as gifts or to welcome guests into the home.
Ingredients: liquid maltose, sugar, whole milk powder and butter (milk) (16.3%), gelatine, flavouring (vanillin), edible starch paper (edible corn and / or cassava starch, water, emulsifier (E471)).
