Rizzoli Emanuelli has a family recipe so secret that only one person knows it. Since 1906, the recipe for its famous anchovies in spiced sauce has been passed down by word of mouth to the family's eldest son. Even the precise blend of spices remains a closely guarded secret.

Five generations of the Rizzoli family have devoted themselves to making outstanding anchovies in Parma, Italy. They select fish from the Mediterranean and Cantabrian seas, salt them within 24 hours of being caught, and leave them to mature slowly in barrels for at least four months. Every anchovy is then carefully prepared by hand. It's this combination of excellent fish, patience and generations of know-how that makes Rizzoli's anchovies so special.
