Uniquely fruity with a touch of ginger and cayenne pepper, Newton & Pott feijoa chutney is just the thing to liven up a cheese sandwich or vegetable tart. The feijoa is a fruit native to South America, where it is also known as the ‘pineapple-guava’. When ripe, the aroma is something like a cross between a banana and pineapple, and the unique sweet flavour is enjoyed by many. Newton & Pott have also added garam masala and mace to this already exotic chutney, giving it slight curry flavours that work well with homemade sausage rolls, cold meats and flatbreads.
