Rice noodles and glass noodles are naturally gluten-free and hugely popular across Asia.
Rice noodles, as the name suggests, are primarily made from rice flour and water and are available in different widths, from thin vermicelli to wider flat noodles.
What do rice noodles taste like?
They are known for their soft, chewy texture and ability to absorb the flavours of the dishes they are cooked in well. Rice noodles are often used in stir-fries, soups, and spring rolls. Try them in Pad Thai or pho.
Glass noodles, also known as cellophane noodles or mung bean noodles, are commonly made from mung bean starch and water, but our range also includes sweet potato vermicelli. They are transparent when cooked and slippery with a slightly chewy texture and absorb flavour well. Try them in Korean japchae, Chinese hotpots and Thai yum woon sen salads.
