Rose Syrup, Clotted Cream and Edible Flowers
If you're a fan of floral, fragrant flavours, this is the topping for you. The rose syrup adds a delicate, perfumed strawberry-like flavour alongside the thick, rich clotted cream. Top with edible flowers for a rainbow of colour.
Pistachio Paste, Ricotta and Orange Blossom
Pistachio paste or pistachio butter adds a vibrant swoop of verdant green and an earthy flavour when spread thinly on top of a crepe. Why not try the flavour combinations often used in qatayef (a sweet dumpling commonly eaten during Ramadan) and make a fluffy ricotta filling flavoured with pistachio and a fragrant syrup of orange blossom water.

Try whipping feta with some Greek yoghurt for a smooth, light texture before using it to top pancakes along with date syrup - the salty cheese and sweet, toffee like syrup are perfect partners. Finish with a flourish of tahini and lemon juice, and a handful of toasted sesame seeds.
Eggs with Crispy Chilli Oil
If you’re a fan of fried eggs on your pancake, a spoonful of Lao Gan Ma’s crispy chilli oil will bring heat and umami from the fermented soybeans and dried chillies. Add some finely sliced spring onions or chives to finish.
