Jalapeño peppers are used throughout Mexican cuisine to bring a hot spiciness to sauces and salsas. Whole jalapeño peppers should be kept intact though, and served as tapas, a starter or side dish.
Halve the jalapeño peppers and stuff with cheese, cilantro, cumin and onion, and then bake in the oven. Or make ‘poppers’ by stuffing the jalapeño peppers, coating in panko breadcrumbs and deep-frying.
