Description

Conchigliette is a versatile addition to your store cupboard. Made from British spelt, these pasta shells have a nutty taste and firm texture. Toss them with your favourite sauces for a fast, satisfying supper. 

The hollow centre collects sauces like pesto and amatriciana. For something really comforting, use conchigliette in a pasta bake. Mix the shells with a creamy, cheesy sauce and bake until golden. You can add any veg you’ve got in the fridge - spinach, asparagus and peas are great additions.

Conchigliette is great in soups, too. A small handful turns any broth into a hearty meal. Add the shells to pasta e fagioli or a warming winter minestrone.

Northern Pasta Co. uses bronze dies to extrude their pasta. This is a traditional technique that gives the pasta its rough texture. It helps sauces to cling so that every mouthful is full of flavour.
