Frantoio Muraglia extra virgin olive oil in a polka dot tin is a store cupboard essential for Italian food lovers. Produced in sunny Puglia, the oil has an intensely fruity flavour with aromas of artichoke and fennel.
It has a beautiful green-gold colour and a spicy, peppery finish that works particularly well in salads and sauces. The decorative tin is covered in polka dots in all the colours of the rainbow - a vibrant addition to any kitchen shelf or dining table.
The extra virgin olive oil is made from cold-pressed Coratina olives – a variety native to the Apulia region of Italy, where the Frantoio Muraglia olive groves are located.
Coratina olives are unique in that they contain three times more antioxidant polyphenols than any other Italian olive variety. This gives the oil its intense flavour, with spicy notes and hints of astringency.
Drizzle this flavourful Italian oil over grilled seafood, bean soups and spaghetti with spicy arrabiata sauce. It’s delicious on crudités and bruschetta and makes a great base for a slow-cooked ragu. Serve the oil with warm bread as a simple starter before your meal - the robust flavour is a great match for focaccia and ciabatta.

Watching over their company is the oldest olive tree in their grove – a majestic Coratina olive tree that is at least 450 years old and still gives fruit. They’ve been growing and pressing olives in the same way for nearly five generations of the Muraglia family, and their extra virgin olive oils have won over 16 awards in the past 10 years alone.
