Short Dated Sweet Fermented Sauce, 180g

Description

Sweet fermented sauce, tian mian jiang or tianmianjiang paste is a popular fermented soybean paste from northern China. It's classically used in the noodle dish called zhajiangmian - wheat noodles topped with a glossy mixture of diced pork, garlic and onions cooked in the sweet bean sauce and a soybean paste similar to miso.

Sweet fermented sauce is also a great glaze for Chinese-style pork or duck dishes. Or squeeze some into a sauce dish and enjoy as a dip with spring rolls and crispy duck pancakes, or add a spoonful to the wok to bring sweet, complex flavours to stir fries.

Ingredients: water, soybeans, wheat flour, salt, preservative E202.

Allergy Advice: for allergens, see ingredients listed in bold.
