Matcha Latte Bubble Tea Recipe

 Ingredients for the Matcha Bubble Tea

  • organic full-fat milk (or milk of your choice) to fill 
  • ½ tsp pure matcha powder
  • 50ml (2fl oz) warm water
  • about 1 ladleful cooked tapioca pearls
  • about 40ml soluble sweetener such as agave syrup or cane syrup, or to taste

 How to Make Matcha Latte Bubble Tea 

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan over a medium heat, but don’t let it boil.
  2. Put the matcha powder into the matcha bowl. Add the warm water and whisk until smooth.
  3. Put your chosen tapioca pearls into the base of the serving glass, then fill the glass almost to the top with hot milk. Pour the matcha mixture into the glass so that the green mixture slowly filters down into the warm milk. Taste for sweetness and add the soluble sweetener to taste, then gently stir.
  4. Add a small sprinkle of the pure matcha on top to garnish, then serve.
