Yutaka Soba Noodles, 250g

Description

Yutaka soba noodles are a Japanese noodle, often simmered in a rich stock to give the famous Japanese dish 'ramen'. There are 26 different recognised types of ramen noodles in Japan – some wavy, some flat, some thinner than others. These soba noodles are made from buckwheat flour, 'soba' meaning buckwheat in Japanese. Soba noodles are thin noodles, measuring around 1mm in width before cooking.

The Yutaka brand began life as a Japanese restaurant 35 years ago. They've fast become the leading supplier of Japanese restaurants gaining a reputation for authentic, flavoursome food which is reflected in the meaning of 'yutaka' - 'good harvest.'

Simply add these yutaka soba noodles to a simmering broth and cook for around 5 minutes before serving. Top with sliced spring onions, grilled chicken, prawn tempura or fried tofu. Or cook the soba noodles in boiling water, drain and toss into a stir-fry.
