About Ruffoni

Ruffoni’s story begins in 1931, when Grandfather Antonio hammered his first copper pot to celebrate his son’s birth. A small act of craft that set the family’s path. Two years later, the Ruffonis cycled more than 400km to Omegna — the lakeside town in northern Italy that still shapes their work today.

In 1962, Fremide opened the first workshop, teaming up with Valstrona valley blacksmiths to make copper cookware from start to finish. Every piece carried the marks of real hands and real heritage. The family kept going, passing skills down like treasured recipes.

That spirit lives on in every Ruffoni pan. The iconic acorn handles — cast in brass, solid and sculptural — echo the forests around Omegna and have become a hallmark of the brand.

Ruffoni cookware isn’t just made. It’s grown from generations of knowledge, built to cook the dishes that matter most.
