Description
La gnocca is a shell-shaped pasta from Naples, Italy. La Fabbrica della Pasta makes them larger so they can be stuffed and baked. Sauces get trapped in their hollow centres.
The shells are ridged to help sauces to cling. Serve them with a creamy pea and pancetta sauce. You can also mix cooked gnocca with a rich, meaty ragu. Try this recipe for classic ragu alla Bolognese.
For a cosy supper, use gnocca in a caprese-style bake. Add cherry tomatoes and mozzarella and bake until golden. Top with basil and serve with a crisp green salad.
