Emma Basic Dried Porcini Mushrooms, 45g

Description

Add dried porcini mushrooms to creamy pasta sauces. Simply rehydrate them in hot water before use. The soaking liquid can be used as mushroom stock. 

Porcini mushrooms are revered by chefs for their flavour and meaty texture. The drying process intensifies their nutty, earthy taste.

Sauté the rehydrated mushrooms in butter with grated garlic. You can add fresh herbs like thyme or chives. Add them to sauces, stews and omelettes. A drizzle of truffle oil is a luxurious finishing touch.

Dried porcini mushrooms add depth and umami to your dish. They’re fantastic in pie fillings and casseroles. We like to add them to a risotto with fresh wild mushrooms.
