Chickpea and truffle cream is smooth and rich with the unmistakable aroma of black summer truffle. Made in Italy, it combines the mellow nuttiness of chickpeas with the earthy, umami-rich taste of truffle. You can spread it on crostini, add it to soups and pasta dishes or use it to make canapés for cocktail parties.

For an elegant starter, spread the truffled chickpea cream on toasted bread and top with sun-dried tomatoes, marinated artichokes or wild mushrooms. The smooth cream also makes a delicious base for pan-fried scallops or white fish.
