Description
This spelt soup mix from Casale Le Marmore contains Umbrian pearl barley, green adzuki beans (also known as mung beans) and peas. The mix is ideal for making hearty grain soups, flavoured with the traditional soffritto base of celery, carrots and onion and finished with caramelised smoked pancetta or bacon.
The mix cooks in just 30 minutes, and doesn’t need to be soaked.
Casale Le Marmore is based in the green heart of Umbria. The company farms lentils, chickpeas, barley and other grains that have been drenched in the Italian sunshine.
