Lakrids liquorice comes all the way from one of the finest liquorice producers in Denmark, the home of liquorice. In 2007, Lakrids started as the dream of Johan Bülow, who didn’t understand why liquorice was so rarely blended with other flavours. Nor why liquorice had traditionally been made using wheat flour, instead of a gluten free flour. It turns out that both are very difficult! But with much trial and error, Johan Bülow started to produce some of the finest liquorice in the world. Lakrids liquorice is only made with gluten free rice flour, and he treats liquorice as a spice – one which enhances and perfectly complements other flavours.
Ingredients: Lakrids A: 63% milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, cocoa mass, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring), rice flour, invert sugar, cane sugar, treacle, 3.4% raw liquorice, glucose syrup, rapeseed oil, salt, anise oil, glazing agent: coconut oil. Minimum 35% cocoa solids. Lakrids B: 51% white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavour), 18% sugar, rice flour, invert sugar syrup, treacle, 2% passion fruit (freeze dried), 1.6% raw liquorice, glucose syrup, rapeseed oil, salt, natural passion flavour, colour: curcumin, anise oil, malic acid, glazing agent (gum arabic, coconut oil, carnauba wax). Minimum 30% cocoa solids. Lakrids C: 64% milk chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavour), rice flour, invert sugar, sugar, treacle, 4% roasted coffee beans (Kenya, Kieni), 2% raw liquorice, glucose syrup, rapeseed oil, salt, anise oil, glazing agent: coconut oil.
