Umami Vegetarian Dashi, 40g

Description

Use vegetarian dashi to make authentic Japanese soups. It’s rich in umami and has a strong vegetable flavour. Dashi is a great base for sauces and ramen broth.

Dashi is a soup stock used in many Japanese dishes. It’s traditionally made with kombu (sea kelp) and bonito (dried fish flakes). This vegetarian version is made with eight vegetables grown in Japan’s Aomori prefecture.

This dashi is rich in umami and has an intense vegetal aroma. It’s ideal for preparing Japanese soups, sauces and stir fries for plant-based friends. You can also cook vegetables in the stock to enhance their flavour.

To prepare the dashi, simply brew in hot water for five minutes.
